I started writing Wanted on June 15, 2012 and finished it a few weeks later on July 13th in-between working and attempting to have a life. At just over 90,000 words it was an editorial disaster. Keep in mind however, I had just finished my master’s thesis, and after a year long hiatus from writing fiction, I was positively aching for some intense storytelling.
Naturally, I had a lot of editing to do. On top of that I knew nearly nothing about query and synopsis writing. And after lots and lots of rejections (topped with some more rejections) I was happy to receive eager bites from agents and publishers. Yet it wasn’t until I got the call on February 12th from Jen O’Neill at Limitless Publishing that I thought: obsession validated!
So I am very proud and happy to say I’ve signed with Limitless and working on my next project, dancing with my imaginary friends and more than occasionally ignoring my real family and responsibilities (Oops) to do it.
